The main campus is nestled on a mountainside overlooking the Salish Sea on beautiful Vancouver Island – the traditional territory of the Coast Salish peoples. The university’s main campus is located in Nanaimo. There are regional campuses in the Cowichan Valley and qathet Region (Powell River) and a centre in Parksville-Qualicum. An hour up the coast from Nanaimo, the Deep Bay Marine Field Station, which provides further opportunities for engagement and research, is equipped with state-of-the-art labs and a seawater tank near an estuarine ecosystem. .
